I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Plant Biology Department at the University of Georgia under CJ Tsai's laboratory. My project focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms behind winter response in poplar trees using genetic and physiological approaches.

Future Goals

At every level of education and research, there has always been a great mentor behind me that helped me realize what path I wanted to take with my education and career, even if not in their field. Through my experience with formal and casual teaching assistantships in the past, I have discovered my passion for providing the same exceptional mentorship I have received. For these reasons, I plan to earn my Ph.D. and become a research professor.

As a professor and principal investigator, I plan to lead a lab that not only emphasizes the importance of mentorship but also conducts research that promotes conservation efforts in the face of climate change.
